I mean you could just use a regular midi controller with Serato in your DAW and get the same workflow as if you used Maschine only. Isn't the whole point of having a Maschine / MPC that you can sample with a dedicated device and not use your DAW? I always wondered why some people use Maschine or the new MPCs in conjunction with Serato Sample.
There's other DAW like things i'd like it to have but as is, especially with the big new features this year, i'm loving it.ītw I can't believe MPC 2.3 still doesn't have SC! I couldn't live without that. Now that you mention it. (If it will ever) And I really wish you could pin plugin windows! It's a shame Maschine doesn't have PDC yet. Moving fully to the hands on, workflow and creativity optimised world of Maschine has been a revolution for me personally in terms of development and productivity.įor anything I want to seriously mix/master though I will stem out to a DAW. I use it with Serato Sample.ĭAWs are all well and good if you need DAW functionality, but personally I often find them overkill and distracting for many aspects of making beats/music. After many years using Live and Cubase, i've been using Maschine standalone for the last 7 months and i'm loving it.
